Quick start

This route is for an administrator and an on-site technician working together. Use one test area, one authorized test person, and one recognition device to verify the entire path from records to the display.

Before you begin

What you needWho supplies or confirms it
Admin console URL, account, and associated siteThe system administrator or implementation team
Working central service, database, and networkThe technician; see System deployment if installation is incomplete
Test area, space, and device relationshipsThe administrator and device technician
Enrollment terminal and camera; compatible reader if using an identity cardThe enrollment operator and technician
Display mode, device reporting destination, and callback pathThe device technician
Authorized test person and a consistent personnel IDThe administrator; check for an existing record first

1. Sign in and check connectivity

Open the delivered console URL and sign in. From Dashboard, open System Configuration, select “Refresh nodes,” and check that the required display and face-entry nodes appear. Review their last broadcast times.

Pass condition: Sign-in and business pages work, the technician confirms central service health, and terminals can reach the central service.

If a node is missing, check power, application startup, and connectivity. Discovery may not cross network segments; ask the technician to check manually configured addresses and reachability. Continue with troubleshooting.

2. Prepare a small set of records

Check existing data in this order and create only what is missing:

  1. Open Apartment → Room Management. Create or confirm the campus, residential district, and test building.
  2. Configure an appropriate room layout and bed count, then create the test room on the correct floor.
  3. Open Colleges & Majors and confirm the college, major, and class.
  4. Open Term Management and check the academic year, term name, and dates.
  5. In Student Info, look up the test person and confirm the name and personnel ID. Follow the service guide when a new basic record is needed.

Pass condition: The space can be found, its hierarchy and capacity configuration are correct, and person affiliation information is available. Face photos and space assignments are checked in the following steps.

3. Configure terminals and the recognition device

Ask the technician to confirm the enrollment terminal's server settings, device identifier, activation state, and assigned building. In Registration, select the test floor and check that rooms from the intended building load.

Check local or cloud mode in the display settings. Use the device instructions to confirm the recognition device's scope, protocol, heartbeat, and reporting destination.

If terminal central addresses need updating together, review the complete URL and online node list in System Configuration, then select “Configure online nodes.” Inspect each result. Use an address the terminals can actually reach.

Pass condition: Enrollment can query the expected rooms, the recognition device has a recent heartbeat, and the display mode matches the reporting path. Continue with business checks after configuration succeeds.

4. Capture the test person's face

  1. Open Registration on the enrollment terminal and select “Clear” to remove the previous person's information.
  2. Look up the floor, room, and existing residents. If using a card reader, check that the imported identity belongs to the participant. For manual entry, use the agreed personnel ID.
  3. Ask the person to face the camera and check the live photo. Use “Take Photo” if automatic capture has not produced a usable image.
  4. Verify the name, identity-number field used as the personnel ID, sex, and live photo. Select “Bind Face” and wait for processing.
  5. Return to the console and query the same ID to check the name and photo. In Apartment → Resident Management, review the person and room under the test building. For a person already listed in that building, use the room adjustment action to choose and save the target room.

Pass condition: The correct photo is present centrally, and building, room, and device relationships match the test plan. If the person is missing from the expected building, ask the administrator or technician to inspect those relationships.

Enrollment and room assignment

Selecting a room on the enrollment terminal helps look up residents. The current school enrollment interface does not assign the selected room automatically. Existing personnel are updated by ID; new personnel join the terminal's assigned building without a room. Verify the actual assignment in the console. Also confirm terminal messages and local lists against central data.

5. Confirm receipt on the target device

Ask the technician to verify that this person enters synchronization for the intended device. Check the personnel ID and photo using the device or its management tool. Bulk enrollment may queue; completion depends on the protocol, queue length, and device responses.

Pass condition: The correct test person exists on the target device. A central record and an online indicator each verify only their own part of the process.

If synchronization does not complete, follow enrollment and synchronization and preserve the actual error before taking corrective action.

6. Perform recognition and check the display

Have the participant complete one recognition at the synchronized device and note the time. Find the new event at the receiving service for the active mode, then check the display's latest card for the person, time, and result.

In local mode, verify receipt directly on the display. In cloud mode, verify upstream receipt followed by delivery to the display. See recognition and display.

Pass condition: The new displayed event matches this real recognition. Restored historical records and demonstration photos cannot substitute for this test.

Keep an acceptance record

CheckRecord
EnvironmentDate, building, display mode, and participants
PersonInternal test ID, central photo check, and accommodation relationship check
SynchronizationTarget device identifier, processing result, and device personnel check
RecognitionEvent time, device result, receiving result, and display result
Unresolved itemsInterrupted step, original error text, and responsible person

Manage test data according to the school's agreed process. If a test person or device authorization is removed, verify processing on the device as well.
